Who Knows Best?

Who knows best which day is the Lord’s day, the “fathers,” to whom and through whom may be traced every error which has cursed Christendom, or the Lord Himself, who made all days and chose one for His own? This is the simple question, and it seems to us it should be easy to answer on the part of every child of God. Which knows best, “the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,” or “the fathers” of the Catholic Church? In the latter case you will find that Sunday is called “the Lord’s day” as early as A.D. 200, by Tertullian. In the other case we are told by the Spirit of God (Ex. 20: 10; Isa. 58: 13; Mark 2: 28) that the Sabbath, the seventh day, is the Lord’s day, that Christ is Lord of it, that it is holy, that it is the Lord’s “holy day.” Now who knows best? Read these scriptures, and then decide which day you will call the Lord’s day, the Sunday, “the wild, solar holiday of all pagan times,” or “the Sabbath of the Lord thy God,” a day honored by Word and man throughout all Biblical history.
