OUR HOPE IN THE RESURRECTION.
By T. Morgenssen
Tho our outward man may perish,
Tho our flesh and bones decay,
There’s a constant hope we cherish,
’Tis the resurrection day; Glorious day, when Christ shall call us,
Call the righteous, from the grave;
Death can then no more appal us;
Christ has conquered, Christ can save. Standing on a sure foundation,
Naught have we from man to fear;
’Tis our greatest consolation,
Our redemption draweth near. Near, yes, everywhere we read it—
In the earth, stars, sun, and moon.
He is coming, will you heed it?
He is coming, coming soon. We are trusting in the merit
Of the loving, risen Lord,
Drinking in the Holy Spirit,
Daily feeding on His Word; Waiting for the golden morning,
When the Lord shall come again;
Waiting for our soul’s adorning;
Waiting Christ’s eternal reign.
