The Last Days.

Reader, does it ever occur to you that we are living in the last days? If not, read this description from the Word of God: “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof; from such turn away.” 2 Tim. 3:1-5. Do you see anything in your vicinity, or in the world at large, that answers this description? People having the form of godliness (that is, professing to be godly) deny its power when they seek the power of worldly governments, the power of civil law, to enforce the tenets of their religion. And when we see all the things enumerated above, we are to know that we are “in the last days,” and we are to expect “perilous times.”
