A New Journal.—

As we are closing up the forms for this paper there comes to our table the first number of our new educational journal, entitled The Christian Educator, published monthly at Battle Creek, Mich. Prof. F. W. Howe, formerly of Healdsburg College, California, is editor. The initial number contains twenty pages, 10½x7¾ inches, and is filled with a good variety of educational matter, including contributions from a number of our leading educators. It is “devoted to the thorough, systematic, and symmetrical culture of the hand, head, and heart, in the home, school, and church.” The journal bids fair to be an efficient coadjutor in the work of practical education. It is homiletic in character, and therefore will be appreciated by all classes of readers who are at all interested in the cause which it advocates. The price is only forty cents a year, coming within the reach of all.
