The Universal Sun-Worship.

A sentence in an article on the Pigmies or Dwarfs of Africa (Missionary Review for August), now among the lowest and most degraded peoples on the earth, shows that among the religious ideas remaining among them was that of the debasing and almost universal sun-worship. Their domestic worship is thus referred to: “In the morning, at the first streaks of dawn, they leave their huts and go to kneel down beside some bush. There, with face toward the east, they address their prayers to Tsuigoa, the father of the fathers.” See Ex. 32: 4–6; Eze. 8: 15, 16.
