GOLDEN DAYS.

O THESE are precious golden days for work, They are with rapid footsteps going by! This mortal life at best is only short, Soon comes the end, when man lies down to rest.
Then work while light is shining, work to-day; To-morrow’s shadowed in uncertainty. When He shall ask, what will your answer be, “Hast thou improved those priceless hours I gave Thee best to please My just and holy name?”
’Tis truly said: Our life a service is; But oft they better serve who only wait,— Yes, wait until the Master calls for some To do a greater work, and be content With service small if so He wills for thee.
