THE BETTER LAND.

In that land of the blest, By the River of Peace, Is the Haven of Rest, Where life's turmoils cease;
Where the loved reunite, With all tears wiped away, And the Lord is the light Of one ne'er-ending day.
We will dwell evermore, Ne'er to fade or to die, On that evergreen shore, In the sweet by and by.
