Spain Seeks European Support Over Cuba

THE Review of Reviews declares that Spain is deliberately and carefully preparing to appeal to all the governments of Europe for moral support against the United States concerning Cuba. Concerning the war in Cuba the Review says: “The Spanish soldiers have had a frightful summer in the distressed islands, owing to the excessive heat and the ravages of disease. Little news of fighting has been received, and there is no reason to think that Spain is making any headway toward the suppression of the rebellion.”
