COMING TO CHRIST.

BY W. W. LOOMIS.
How sweet the story that is told Upon the page, so hoar and old, Of Samuel’s call and his reply, In childish accents, “Here am I”!
To us this voice is speaking still; It says that whosoever will May come, and all his wants supply From God’s great storehouse, ere he die.
Why do we halt, when God’s dear Son Has victory promised every one Who to his cross will kneel and cry, “Save or I perish; here am I”?
The spring is here with bloss’ ming trees, And tropic air, and balmy breeze; The fruitage season hastes apace; So might it be in realms of grace.
He calleth me, he calleth thee, Whoever, reader, thou may’st be; O, would you then to Jesus fly, Haste; for he calls—say, “Here am I”!
