HE COMES.

BY WARREN TEFFT.
“He shall come again,” so angels said, When loved ones saw their Lord depart; And this glad news like sunbeams sped To fill with joy each saddened heart.
“He shall come again.” And these sweet words Alone would cheer them in their gloom; “He comes,” will touch those mystic chords Which light the darkness of the tomb.
“He shall come again.” Aye, do not doubt, Though weary years thy hope delay; Thy longing eyes, thy joyful shout, Shall feast, and ring through endless day.
“He shall come again.” ’Tis by this light That hope can steer through wildest storm; This lights the darkness of our night, And gilds with joy each coming morn.
“He shall come again.” O, let these words Sweet comfort give each mourning heart; Like music sweet on trembling chords To all the world this truth impart!
