THE FOURTH SABBATH IN OCTOBER.

The fourth Sabbath in October is the time for the regular annual collection for the benefit of the International Tract Society. It is important that there be a liberal donation, as the work of the society is continually increasing. As missionaries are sent to foreign fields, it is necessary that they have literature in the languages of the people to whom they are sent. The translation and publication of this matter requires large sums of money, for the lack of which the message is often retarded. There is also considerable territory in the United States not yet occupied by state societies, which must needs be supplied by the International Society. These pressing needs call for self-denying effort on the part of all our brethren to assist the society in its important work.
