I Will Commit My Way to Thee

I WILL commit my way, O Lord, to thee, Nor doubt thy love, though dark the way may be, Nor murmur; for the sorrow is from God, And there is comfort also in thy rod.
I will not seek to know the future years, Nor cloud to-day with dark to-morrow’s fears; I will ask a light from heaven, to show How, step by step, my pilgrimage should go.
