ATWOOD.—Sarah R. Atwood, died of quick consumption, at St. Helena, January 24, aged 30 years, and 1 month. Sister Atwood embraced the "present truth" under the labors of Elders Loughborough and Cornell, in 1873, and her aim since then has been to discharge faithfully every Christian duty. Although not physically strong, she has been in the enjoyment of quite good health until a few weeks ago, from which time she has failed rapidly. She seemed to feel that it was her lot to sleep, and was resigned to trust in the hope of living again. Her last words were, "My heavenly Father. I die in peace." A large company of friends assembled at the last sad rite, and I presented to them the Christian's hope. W. M. HEALEY.
