CONSECRATION

I hunger, Lord, and thirst for righteousness; O draw Thou near my longing soul to bless. It is the promise of Thy holy Word, Ye shall be filled—I claim that promise, Lord, Oh give me yet a firmer hold on Thee; Anoint my eyes that I may clearer see The heights, the breadth, the depth, and length of love That brought the Saviour from the courts above— Yea, brought Him here to die on Calvary That we, in Him, might be forever free. O, clothe me with Thy robe of righteousness And bless me, Lord, that I may others bless; For I would not Thy blessings selfish hold, But scatter them abroad as gifts of gold, That when thou comest in Thy kingdom, Lord, Thou may'st receive the increase of Thy word.
