Israel’s Covenant Promise

FROM Deut. 7: 6-8 we learn that when the Lord brought the Israelites out of Egypt, and made the promise recorded in Ex. 19: 3-6, it was simply in keeping with the promise made to their fathers. The fact that the conditions of the two promises were the same (compare Gen. 26: 5 and Ex. 19: 5) harmonizes with this statement. E. J. W.
