IN MINNESOTA.

Your suggestions in regard to Thanksgiving day were gladly and zealously carried out by both parents and pupils. Nearly every pupil brought one or more to share his Thanksgiving lunch, and one sister brought a whole family with her—a mother and four children. Several of the sisters came with their friends and neighbors to our afternoon program, which consisted of repeating thanksgiving Psalms, singing songs of praise, and telling what we were thankful for. A spirit of quiet joy and thankfulnesspervaded the exercises of the day.
My heart was made glad when one of my pupils told me that he had found that it is more blessed to give than to receive. One little girl who had been with us during the day told her mother, on reaching home, that she liked “nut meat” (nuttose) better than turkey, and wished she might go to that school every day.
