WE MAY NOT KNOW.

By Ada Phelps

We may not know where a word will lead When it takes to wing; We may not know what its fruitful seed Will back to us bring; But we guess if the heart be filled with love, Which Jesus taught when he came from above, Then over its path that word will fling The joy of the songs the bright angels sing, When it takes to wing. — Ada Phelps, in The Nickell.
