THE recovery of Bro. Miller and his return to Nashville to assist Bro. Kenyon released me, so I immediately returned to Carson City to help forward the work of building the meeting-house.
I have given a few lectures, evenings, in a place four miles away, and several have begun to observe the Sabbath as the result. Among these is an aged Baptist lady from Wisconsin, who is visiting her daughter, and although she has been a reader of the Bible for forty years, it now seems to her like a new book, as present truth is opening up to her mind.
Last Sabbath I was with the church atMatherton. Our meetings were free. Forty testimonies were given in as many minutes. About twenty came forward for prayers, and among them some for the first time. Six were added to the church, five of whom received baptism. Others will soon follow in this solemn ordinance.
