DEAR BRETHREN: The call for our annual meeting has appeared in the REVIEW. At this meeting will be summed up all the work done during a whole year. I fear we shall not be satisfied with the result, for it is a sad truth that but a little has been accomplished by our society in the year now almost passed. Let us make faithful and full reports of this last quarter, that we may all know just what has been done, and what interesting incidents have occurred. Brethren, come up to this meeting fully decided to take a new interest in the missionary work, both as to manner and amount. Our officers are anxious to see this work prosper. Are we not all anxious? Are there difficulties and discouragements in the way? Overcome them. Read Neh. 2-4. Notice especially the eighteenth verse of chap. 2, which contains the noble response of the people when Nehemiah told them it was God’s will that they should rebuild their city, and that the king also was favorable toward their work. And they said, Let us rise up, and build. Let us do likewise. “But I can do so little.” “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Say it, brother missionary, and keep saying it till you believe it; for all things are possible to him that believeth.
