Van Wert Co.

The work of the Lord is still progressing in this county. In the Merrick school-house, six miles north-east of Van Wert, Bro. R. A. Underwood has held twenty-one meetings. On every occasion after the first, the house was too small. Sometimes less than one-half that came could get in the house.
This was Bro. Underwood’s first effort, and the Lord crowned it with success. In the short space of seventeen days, he held twenty-one meetings, obtained one subscriber, sold ten dollars’ worth of books, and with the help of the Lord, brought from fifteen to twenty precious souls to the observance of the Lord’s holy Sabbath.
Bro. Guilford continues the work, while Bro. U. returns home to arrange to attend school at the B. C. College. May the Lord bless him and his worthy companion, while they shall attend our excellent school to prepare for greater usefulness in the Master’s vineyard.
H. A. ST. JOHN.
