Brownsdale, May 15.
We came here last week, and set our tent in the village. The weather was cold, and we did not open until Sunday forenoon. About one hundred and fifty were present at the first meeting. In the evening we engaged the Christian chapel, a few rods from the tent, and it was full. The attention paid has been good. When we returned to the tent last night, from the chapel, we found one of the large guy ropes and twelve of the small ones cut off. We wait further developments, praying the Lord to guide us aright, and help us to bear a clear testimony for his truth. There are a few good brethren within supporting distance. We desire the prayers of the brethren.
