THE SUNDAY QUESTION AGAIN.

It looks as though the Christian Weekly had taken up the Sunday question. In its issue of March 1, we find the following:—
The feeling among our countrymen that the sanctity of the Sabbath as a day of rest is to be respected, is spreading. The open disregard of our laws, and the flagrant and increasing desecration of the day by a portion of our foreign population, may not be without profit if they arouse our citizens to needed steps to protect our birthright from those who would despoil and destroy it. Louisville, Ky., is following the example of Cincinnati, and is arousing public attention to the necessity of enforcing the civil protection of the Sabbath as a day of rest from labor and public amusement, set apart for that purpose by the immemorial usage of the American people and the laws of the land. Our working people need to realize that the infringement or annulling of the Sabbath laws is a direct step toward their oppression.
