Gough's Remarks on Genesis 2:7

It seems that Gough, the temperance lecturer, sees a point in Gen. 2:7, which is generally overlooked. Speaking of man, in his farewell speech in England, he is quoted as saying, “God created man in his own image, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and made him—not gave him—but made him a living soul.”
