Vick’s Floral Guide.

THERE is an old saying that “A thing of beauty is a joy forever.” When Adam was placed in a garden, where was caused “to grow every tree that was pleasant to the sight,” provision was made for his perpetual enjoyment. And not all the beauty was lost to the earth in the fall of man. There are many things yet existing which are pleasant to the sight. We love flowers; we pity those who do not. When we had opportunity to cultivate them we always patronized James Vick, of Rochester, N. Y., and recommended him to others, and we never yet heard a complaint of him. His “Floral Guide for 1884” comes to our table even more rich than its predecessors. It makes us long for “Paradise Restored.”
