The Burden of Tomorrow

Some people pluck a section of God's eternity out of his hands, and then groan with the burden. If they pray at all, they practically pray for this: "Give us this day our daily bread, and to-morrow, and next day, and day after, and next year, and fifty years to come; and, lest thou shouldst forget it, or neglect to answer us, we have undertaken to look after the matter ourselves."
