Strange and Sad

STRANGE AND SAD.—There was a very strange sight in the town of Berryville last Sunday. A full-blooded Seminole Indian, born and raised till a boy of eleven in the everglades of Florida, stood up in the Berryville Baptist pulpit and preached the gospel of Christ to a house crowded with people of the Caucasian race—the boasted superior race of mankind. The sad part of it was to hear his pathetic appeals to a people whose opportunities were far superior to his, to accept Christ as a Saviour, and to take care lest in them should be fulfilled the scripture which says the children of the kingdom shall be thrust out and strangers shall take their places.
