TWENTY-SEVEN lectures have been given here. There was none of that bitter opposition, usually manifested where present truth and duty are presented. Nine have signed the covenant, and pledged $105.80 systematic benevolence. A Sabbath-school was organized, and will have about twenty members. Three or four await baptism. Some will attend camp-meeting. Tent No. 3 will be pitched in Placerville, El Dorado Co., this week, and meetings commenced immediately after Independence Day.
“Pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified.”
