History of a Pious Fraud.

The article from Eld. Andrews which was commenced in No. 11, and will be concluded in No. 13, entitled Examination of a Famous Falsehood, is worthy of a most careful reading. When we were examining the subject of the Sabbath nearly twenty-seven years ago, this story concerning the question, "Hast thou kept the Lord's day?" was presented to our notice with more confidence than any other argument for first-day. While we deeply regret that eminent professors of Christianity will adopt such unworthy methods to uphold their favorite tenets, we are glad that the truth is clear on this as on other points. Error must be exposed. This article which we are now publishing is Chap. XV., pp. 243-258 of Eld. Andrews' "History of the Sabbath," a work of 528 pages, which we recommend as a volume of great interest and value.
