The special one to which we now refer contains the map of California, Nevada, Alaska, Hawaiian Islands, and a map on an enlarged scale of San Francisco and its environments. It is printed on almost indestructible paper, with a complete index of the places on the back, giving the population of counties, cities, villages, etc., with some very complete notes on California and Nevada. The size folded is 5¼x2½ inches, and less than one-eighth of an inch thick, but it is multum in parvo. The style of the letters on the map indicates the character and relative importance of the place. The maps of this company are nicely printed, and the counties of the State maps are of different colors.
