To Whom It May Concern

During youth and early manhood, I contracted many little debts which because of exceedingly low wages I was unable to pay off.
I am now in a position to consider these accounts; but about fifteen years ago my books containing all these records were destroyed while in storage, and I do not remember the amounts, and do not now know the addresses of the persons concerned, and in many instances have forgotten who the persons are.
I will therefore esteem it a great favor if all to whom I owe any account, however small, will kindly communicate with me, giving their name, address, and the amount due.
This is not a matter which I have willingly allowed to run so long; but for reasons I do not fully understand, in spite of constant prayers and earnest efforts—intensely earnest efforts since 1884—I have been unable to settle these matters before. Address Milo E. Yergin, 1701 West Washington Boulevard, Chicago, Illinois.
