Everything tends toward it. There will come a time when all the world will wonder after the restored Papacy, and this would mean the union of the Eastern and Western Catholic churches. Pertinent to this is the following paragraph from the Western Watchman of November 14, 1912: "The Balkans are classified as orthodox, but by that is meant only that they are not subject to the pope. We do not think there is much to prevent a reunion, and when the new government begins to deal directly with the pope, there will be less. The return of the whole East to the church's unity is one of the eventualities that are safely concealed in the womb of time."
