Solemn and Serious

THIS is a solemn and serious number. We are living in solemn times. The great sinful world may laugh away the seriousness, may lightly jest over the things of eternal interest; nevertheless, they are serious still. Eternity, man's awful responsibility in deciding it for weal or wo, and the inevitable harvest of death or life, are serious questions. And yet the harvest-time may be joyful to every one; but, if so, we must take it seriously.
