Natural Parasite of the Codling Moth

E. P. Taylor, a horticulturist in Grand Valley, Colorado, reports the discovery of a natural parasite for the codling moth, the worst enemy of the apple-tree in that section. The parasite is called Trichagamma pretosa, and produces a progeny of 3,031,721,260,073,800,781,250 in a single season, which spells the obvious death of the codling moth wherever encountered.
