WOULD we close our eyes when the day is o'er,
Nor sigh for another sun?
Would we close our ears to the birdie's song,
E'er the song was scarce begun?
Shall we cease to listen to His sweet voice
Who would teach us all His way?
We may see His face, and His matchless grace,
And learn of His love for aye.
