Wanted God to Take Her

AS I was on my way to the Shangani Mission, we passed a large kraal of the darkest heathen. Quite a number of women came out to greet us. One woman, with just a small skin around her body, after we had had a short talk with her about the coming Saviour, exclaimed, with eyes filled with tears: "O teacher, what are we without God? I would that God take me to His town." It touched our hearts when we heard these words from a heathen's lips. They became the keynote of our talks the remainder of our trip.
