IN HIS NAME.

'TWAS only a kiss and a bunch of flowers, But they came in a sunny way, Like a balm to the wound in a homesick heart, At the close of a weary day.
'Twas only the clasp of a friendly hand, And the glance of a kindly light; They banished the thought of a sorrowful day, And they brightened a pain-spent night.
There's never the clasp of a friendly hand, Not a smile nor a word of cheer, Not a kiss nor a flower in His dear name given, Will be lost when the harvest's here. —Christian Register.
