Of the six states that voted on prohibition November 3, the returns indicate that Arizona and Oregon have voted in favor of it, with Colorado and Washington, in all probability, having carried it, but nothing sure as yet. The claim is that it has been defeated in California and Ohio; but the figures for these states are based upon the returns from the large cities, where the whisky vote is strongest. Even should the victory carry but four out of the six states for prohibition, it would be a great achievement. This mighty wave of influence in favor of prohibition is evidently one of God's great plans to check the awful floods of evil that come through intemperance.
