EMIGRATION OF WALDENSES.—

Rev. Mr. Lorriaux, a Protestant minister of France, has just secured some three thousand acres of good land, at seventy-five cents per acre, Monongahela Co., Va., not far from the Pennsylvania line, for a congregation of some five hundred Waldenses who propose to emigrate from the high Alps in the southeast of France. It is thought that the report of this satisfactory purchase and settlement will induce many thousands of the French Protestants to remove to the same locality.
