SPECIAL CONFERENCE.

A SPECIAL, and very important meeting will be held at Lisbon, Linn Co., Iowa, July 29th, at 4 o'clock P. M., and, probably, hold during the 30th. The Southern Iowa, and Northern Iowa Committees, also the Southern Iowa Committee for 1861, are earnestly solicited to attend this meeting, with one or more delegates from each congregation of Sabbath-keepers in the State.
The object of this meeting is to investigate the grounds of complaint against Elders E. W. Shortridge, J. H. Waggoner, B. F. Snook, and Wm. H. Brinkerhoof, who request that this meeting be called. Bro. A. Caldwell and A. B. Hanner, and all others who have made complaints of any or all of these preachers are expected to be present without fail.
By request.
JAMES WHITE.
P. S. Unless union and confidence among the Sabbath-keepers in Iowa can be restored, the tent will be laid up. Bro. and sister White may be expected at this meeting.
