Sad Intelligence from Bro. White.
By Uriah Smith
IMMEDIATELY after mailing the last paper we received the sad intelligence that Bro. White's eldest son, Henry N., was very sick with lung fever, in Topsham, Me. Subsequent reports showed him to be rapidly falling, until now we are compelled to make the still more painful announcement of his death, which occurred on the 8th inst. The cares of the sick room have prevented Bro. White from attending to orders for charts, and other business matters. We doubt not our beloved Bro. and sister W. will be prayerfully remembered in their bereavement, by many sympathizing hearts all over the land. P. S. We have just received a telegraphic dispatch, stating that they will return immediately, and the funeral will be held here in Battle Creek next Sabbath, the 19th inst.
