Faith, Hope, and Love. 1 Cor. xiii, 13.

FAITH, how it clings to the God we adore! How it rests on the promises, asks for no more! Oh, so precious to us, who the truth can receive, That we cannot deny, we can only believe.
Hope, 'tis the anchor that is cast from above; And it holds, thank the Lord, in the depths of his love. No storm shall unloose it, or tempest assail, That will cause it to drag, or o'er it prevail.
Love is the theme! Who its praises can tell! It is high as high Heaven, it is deeper than hell. It will bring us true joys, while on earth we may stay, And nothing but joy, in eternity's day.
Faith let us nourish it yet while we may; Hope—let us cherish it, while it is day; Love—oh let love in our bosoms yet swell; And we shall with saints in eternity dwell.
Faith, hope, and love! Yes these are the three That are dear to the heart, and bring gladness to me. Oh say if on earth, or in Heaven above, There is anything better than faith hope and love?
