JAMES LOUDON

From Bro. Loudon.

Bro. White: I desire to say that I am not weary in this good cause of present truth, but the truth shines brighter and brighter. I love the doctrine taught in the Review; for I can see truly it is the doctrine of the Bible. It does not show itself inconsistent nor contradictory of the word of the Lord. I embraced the Advent faith in 1842, and the doctrine of the life and death and the Sabbath, in 1850 and, '52. I had to throw away some things I had been taught before, as I found they were not the word of the Lord, but the traditions of the elders. I am trying to learn the truth as it is in the word of the Lord and practice the same. I find myself a poor practitioner and unworthy; but Christ is worthy. Pray for me Brn. and sisters that I may have a part in the first resurrection over which the second death hath no power.
Yours in hope of eternal life.
