By Joseph Bates

DIED of consumption, in Monterey, June 16th, 1865, Frances, wife of Orrin McUmber, aged thirty-nine years and five months. She embraced the present truth about nine years since, and ever continued with the church in Monterey. She bore her lingering sickness with patient resignation, and died in the triumphs of faith, and a well grounded hope that she should live again in the everlasting kingdom of God at the resurrection of the just.
