1 Chronicles 12:30

And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valour, famous throughout the house of their fathers.

The verse belongs to the fuller parallel account of David's rise to rule over all Israel. That account tells of the assembly at Hebron, where the tribes of Israel gathered to recognize David as king. Within that assembly the verse records the fighting contingent sent by Ephraim alongside those sent by the other tribes, with the combined total of the fighting men amounting to about 350,000. The men who thus gathered to David were loyal, mighty men of valour, and men of notable ability.
