Them also king David dedicated unto the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek. David set apart for the Lord the silver and the gold he had brought in from the nations he had conquered. Those nations were Edom and Moab and Ammon, together with the Philistines and Amalek. Placing such valuables into the sacred treasury was voluntary giving beyond the regular tithes. It teaches the use of possessions for God's service.
