1 Chronicles 24:9

The fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,

David divided the priests into twenty-four courses, with the fifth lot falling to Malchijah and the sixth to Mijamin. The division was set down in a full and accurate record, and each course was thoroughly organized under its own chief. Each course was appointed to come to Jerusalem twice a year to attend for one week to the ministry of the sanctuary. This arrangement grew out of careful study and application in apportioning special duties to the men best fitted for them, and it was brought to perfection in the organization of the priests and Levites, the civil officers, and the army as Solomon was placed upon the throne.
