1 Chronicles 25:14

The seventh to Jesharelah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

Jesharelah, together with his sons and his brethren, constituted the seventh course, numbering twelve men. That seventh course was one of twenty-four courses drawn from the four thousand who praised the Lord with instruments. Each course numbered twelve men who were especially instructed and skilful in the use of musical instruments. This system of courses belonged to the perfected organization prepared under David for Solomon's reign, reflecting careful study of God's plan to apportion special duties to the men best fitted for them and to follow that plan in governing Israel.
