1 Chronicles 29:25
And the LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel. And the LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.
In its setting, Solomon is identified as God's chosen son and is appointed to build the temple. God greatly exalted Solomon before all Israel and gave him royal majesty unmatched by any earlier kings of Israel. That exaltation placed him in the sight of all the people with a splendor no king before him in Israel had possessed. The continuance of his kingdom was tied to his faithfulness in keeping God's commandments.
