1 Chronicles 4:6

And Naarah bare him Ahuzam, and Hepher, and Temeni, and Haahashtari. These were the sons of Naarah.

The verse names Ahuzam, Hepher, Temeni and Haahashtari as the sons of Naarah. It belongs to the carefully preserved genealogical lists in the opening chapters of Chronicles that record Israel's tribes, families and lines of descent. Those genealogies preserved hereditary descent needed after the exile to assign land to its hereditary owners and to maintain the temple service through families with hereditary duties. The genealogy of Judah was especially preserved because Christ came through that tribe.

The verse is among the inspired contents of the Bible even though long lists of names like it may seem difficult to understand or of little value, and not every part is equally interesting or useful to every person in every circumstance. The genealogical records to which the verse belongs show that God is particular and keeps a faithful record of every soul in heaven.
