1 Chronicles 6:67 stands within the long registers of persons and places in Chronicles, alongside the reckonings of the sons of Judah and of Levi. Like those registers, it declares that God keeps people in remembrance by name even when they have passed from the memory of others. For that reason it brings comfort to one who is downhearted and to one who counts himself a failure.
